
What to do in case of damage?
In case of frost, rain or hail damage: The farmer shall immediately notify the employees of UAB ”Agrorisk brokers” about the damage by post, telephone, e-mail; UAB ”Agrorisk brokers” employees prepare and print damage settlement protocols and appoint two damage experts to assess the losses incurred by the farmer; Injury experts contact the farmer and inspect the plants with him at an agreed time. They determine the amount of damage as a percentage during the initial inspection or final assessment. If the farmer agrees with the amount of damage determined by the experts, he confirms this by signing the damage adjustment protocol; The insurance benefit is paid over a period of two weeks, but not earlier than the agricultural products could have been used.
Insured risks
Hail is a solid precipitation with the shape of ice cubes, at least 5 mm in diameter. Rain is a short heavy rain with an average of more than 15 liters of precipitation per square meter (15 mm) in 15 minutes, or rain with more than 50 liters of precipitation per square meter (50 mm) per day.
